Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! I hope you all have had an excellent holiday.
I have been MIA because I have been settling into my PhD program and trying to navigate Dublin life
January is the start of a new year in the Gregorian calendar, but it is also the middle of winter in the Northern Hemisphere. It is interesting to say, at least, that we are thinking of new beginnings in the icy winter, but here we are thinking of new beginnings, new solutions, new goals, and new starts.
January is named after the Roman god Janus, god of beginnings, gates, transitions, time, duality, doorways, passages, frames, and endings. He is usually depicted as having two faces.
To new beginnings, transitions, doorways, passages, and endings!
My Patreon and Kofi will reflect my research interests on gender, bodily autonomy, sexual violence, childhood, and consent. So there will be articles that focus on women and goddesses in the Bible, Ancient Near East, and Ancient North East Africa Greco-Roman and other societies like ancient India and ancient China that these societies interacted with. There will be certain months of the year where I will focus on other ancient societies like Mesoamerica, West Africa, the Caribbean, and North and South America.
In the meantime, what is coming soon on my Patreon and Kofi is an article about the Virgin Mary and the Iranian Grandma Winter. Until then, here are the events and activities that are happening in January:
National Healthy Weight Awareness Month
Stalking Awareness Month
Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month
Alzheimer's Awareness Month
Dry January
National Mentoring Month
National Codependency Awareness Month

I am no longer on Facebook or Threads. I spent too much time on Facebook and threads just scrolling.
Until next month, enjoy what is left of January and have an awesome year
